Laut den Kollegen von pcinpact.com soll Intel Probleme mit dem neuen Yorkfield haben. Ab einer bestimmten FSB Frequenz soll es dazu kommen, dass der Rechner einfriert. Das Problem soll sich nur bei den Yorkfield Prozessoren bestehen, beim Wolfdale nicht.

Daraus lässt sich schließen das Intel wohl Probleme bei der Kommunikation zwischen den beiden DIE´s auf dem Package zu haben.

In wie weit sich das auf die Verfügbarkeit ausübt ist unklar. Zudem soll es Probleme mit Nahlem geben. Dort wurde der L2 Cache auf 8MB (für alle 4 Kerne zusammen) reduziert. Der in kurzem erscheinende Yorkfield hat hingegen insgesamt 12MB L2 Cache. So scheint Intel auch dort Probleme mit der Fertigung zu haben.

Update: Intel hat die Auslieferung der 45nm Desktop Quadcore Prozessoren gestoppt und mit einer Veröffentlichung ist im Q1 2008 zu rechnen! (Quelle: Planet3DNow!)

Und das wird eine noch größere Sauerei als bei der Formel 1.

Wenn du damit auf dem im nahlem int. Speichercontroler und den HT verschnitt anmens hyperpath ansprichst, ja sie ahben abgeguckt. Da sie aber selber entwickelt haben werdens ie auch keien patente verletzen. Es sei denn AMD findet was...
Erstmal muss sich Intel jetzt um das Kartellverfahren mit der EU kümmern, da önnte für AMD auchw as nettts rauskommen.

Der K11 klingt auch sehr interessant, 3 oder 4 fach skalares Design, jede menge kleien Updates, bessere Cache Struktur usw. Dazu evtl. noch en intergierter Grafikkern der auch für eifachere Berechnung genutzt werden aknn uvm. Da hat AMD viel (lohnenswerte) Arbeit vor sich. Allerdings ahebn die durch ATI einen großen vorsprung vor intel was GPU integration angeht
