Laut overclock3d soll es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit sein, bis auch ATI GPUs Physix berechnen können. Es wird noch eine weile dauern, bis ein Treiber dafür einsatzbereit ist. AMD ist auf das Angebot von NVIDIA eingegangen, Physix via CUDA zu benutzen. Da AMD Lizenzen für Physix und Havok vorliegen, werden die Radeon Karten dieses Feature bald unterstützen.

The newest information about Phyix on ATi GPUs is coming from overclock3d. So AMD got license from NVIDIA to use Physix via CUDA. ATI Radens will calculate in future physix via GPUs, like NVIDIA now, too. AMD got license for Physix and Havok, so a driver with the new feature is coming soon.

Ich denke mal wird für die 3000er und 4000er Serie sein. Bei nVidia bekommt erst die GF9 die Unterstützung. Ich glaube 1 Monat später sollen dann die GF8 und 7 folgen.

Es ist bereits einem findigen User gelungen, PhysX erfolgreich auf einer HD3850 zum laufen zu bekommen, dann dürfte es für ATI/AMD eigentlich nur ein "kleiner" Schritt sein es im treiber zu implementieren :thumbsup:
