Jetzt ist es offiziell, wir berichteten, dass AMD für die die ATi Radeon Grafikkarten einen neuen Linux Treiber veröffentlichen will. So heißt es in der Pressemitteilung, dass die Catalyst 7.9 Software noch im September erscheinen wird.

Außerdem schreibt AMD folgendes:

„In der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2007 planen wir die bisher bedeutendsten Weiterentwicklungen unserer ATI Radeon Grafik für Linux. Damit unterstreichen wir unser Engagement gegenüber Endverbrauchern und der gesamten Community.“

Über die Windows-Version des Catalyst 7.9 wird kein Wort verloren, aber wir informieren euch weiter. Außerdem könnt ihr euch die komplette Pressemitteilung unten im Anhang herunterladen.
