Which is the best driver on windows or linux and why?

Users can tell which driver is best on linux or windows here. I mean which manufacturer produces the best according to them. :)
I don't know but I would vote for nvidia, not to hurt ati or anything, but ati is somehow still 2nd and prolly intel is 3rd and via 4th and last is sis for sure, without any 3d for linux. On windows probably nvidia and ati are the same level approx and maybe intel is next and sis and via are prolly approx the same. I cannot say anything for Mac, but if somebody has a Mac he can post something about Mac and ati maybe or don't know. If freebsd or solaris the same, but probably the main answers should be windows and linux, becuase they are the most used. :)
